August in Pakistan brings a lot of green and white in the country as we get ready to celebrate our Independence Day. White and green balloons, Pakistani flags, badges, apparels matching the color of flag and other merchandise makes highly profitable rounds in market.
Taping this proclivity of Pakistanis, many organizations also follow this trend to directly hit the emotional, physical and psychological needs of their target audience. This year, different organizations are running Independence Day campaigns to build relationships with their customers.
McDonald’s Pakistan goes festive
McDonald’s is running a campaign celebrating cultures of four provinces each day in the month of Independence Day. On a particular province day, McDonald’s staff is dressed up to reflect the culture of the provinve. It greets the customers in that language and it makes for great engagement with the consumers.

McDonald’s also customize their cones to green color to celebrate 14th August.
Daraz and Kamyu launch Freedom sales
Kaymu and Daraz in collaboration with Mobilink came up with an innovative way to mark the 69th Independence Day.
They launched a gigantic online sale on its e-store which starts on 13th August.
Customers will have access to customized sale ranging from 19%-47% off on Kaymu items. Daraz will hold a discount offer of 70% on electronic items and fashion accessories.
Daraz Group has also started the trend of #HumPakistani on twitter and released the following video in support of its Azadi campaign.
PIA Goes Premier
PIA will launch its new premier plane on Independence Day. The plane that is newly acquired from SriLanka will make its debut route from Pakistan to London with specially trained crew and new services. The emblem, logo and staff’s uniform has been changed to celebrate Independence Day.

Azadi Train and 14th August
Celebrating the spirit of independence, Pakistan Railways inaugurated the Azadi train. On its first route, the train left Margalla Railway Station on Thursday for Peshawar. On the night of 13th August, it will return to Rawalpindi and commence its journey to Lahore, Multan, Sukkur, Larkana, Quetta and Karachi.
The Azadi train, carrying different flavours from the heritage of Pakistan is paying a tribute to the fallen heroes of Pakistan.






Fashion turns green too
Many brands are also cashing in on Independence Day celebrations. Customers are being offered hefty discounts on apparels. Now you can get customized shirts and scarfs that are designed for the special day.
Giga Heights launches the One Nation One Flag Campaign
Al Ghurair Giga Heights Group is launching the One nation One flag campaign to mark Pakistan’s 69th Independence Day.
Many apparel stores will be inaugurated in Hyperstar which is owned by Al Ghurair Giga Heights Group. The night will be marked by heavy fireworks, which will be streamed live on YouTube, Facebook and broadcast on all major TV channels.
Independence Day brings with it festivities, joys and harmony. Million of investments in these campaigns and huge profits made by commercial sector is indicator of improved law and order situation in Pakistan – another reason to celebrate the day with full fervor.
